TEXAS QUALITY CARE, INC. (TQC)

  Why is Quality our middle name?

 

We provide QUALITY staff and Foster/Companion Providers.  We do an extensive background check which includes: quarterly criminal history checks, nurse aid and misconduct registry and random drug testing to promote the best environment for the individuals we serve.

We provide QUALITY Case Management.   TQC's Case Manager is trained and has good supports in place, which allows the Case Manager to be an advocate for the person he or she works with.  TQC has developed a system that enhances the ability of the Case Manager to monitor each individual they serve.  Our Case Manager works with the individual family and LAR in developing a plan that is tailored to the individual.  Our Case Manager is accessible and is a strong advocate for each person they serve.

We have QUALITY Supported Home Living staff.   We work with the individual in getting a good match for the services needed.

We provide QUALITY Foster and Companion Care.   We only contract with providers whose environments meet our standards, as well as the desire to provide loving, caring, family-like support.

We provide Residential and Supportive living which insures QUALITY living environments.   Each home is maintained to be attractive as well as functional. We promote a normal family living environment that includes personalizing the home while trying to teach and support daily living, self-help and life/safety skills. Our goals are to empower, promote and assist each person we serve to reach the maximum independent level.

We provide a QUALITY nursing staff.   We insure that each nurse's license is checked through the Nursing Board. Our medical charts are audited at least four times a year to ensure services are being delivered in accordance with each person's plan.

We provide QUALITY Respite Staff.   We provide in and out of home Respite. We understand that families don't plan on emergencies, which is why we go to great lengths to assist families with the Respite they need on short notice.

We have our own QUALITY Day Habilitation Program.   Our program is designed to assist each individual in acquiring, retaining and/or improving self-help, socialization skills and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in the community.

We only contract with QUALITY providers.   Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Dietary, Psychology, Audiology, Social Work, and Dentist providers.

We provide QUALITY Activities.   We provide QUALITY activities as desired by the individuals and/or LARS. We also try to expose each individual to new activities that are appropriate for that person.

We provide QUALITY Care when working with individuals who exhibit behaviors.    We believe that many behaviors are a form of communication. We collect data on Target Behaviors and work closely with the psychologist, individual/LAR, family and friends in the development of an effective BehaviorModification program. Our goal is to develop a plan that works.
